UNC OMSS does not play any part in the badge process. This is handled by the clinical department coordinators.

The MSO does not make the name badges at Columbus Regional. Our HR Dept makes the actual badge, however, the MSO and Onboarding staff are present during the delivery of the badge and handles the badge access.

    1. Does the MSO make name badges – if not, who makes these for your facility – Our protective services department physically makes the badges. We do request badges for our non-employed; community providers. Badges for employed providers are requested through HR and managers from the departments. Due to Covid, we have been further providing assistance to Protective Services by passing on photos of employed providers that we obtain during the credentialing process. 2. What role does the MSO play in the delivery of the badge – We do deliver the badges to our providers who are not employed (community providers). 3. What role does the MSO have in replacement badges – providers reach out to us frequently when they have lost their badge and we facilitate them obtaining a replacement badge. 4. Does the MSO handle badge access – Sometimes our providers will find they need access to a particular area or scrubs and we will contact Protective Services to assist providers in obtaining the access they need. 5. What role does the MSO have in any badge access issues. See question 4 above.

The MSO is not involved with the Badge process in any capacity at Duke University Hospital. It is handled by the onboarding team with the hiring department or by the Duke Card Office.
